  • Well for you I would take shampoo and conditioner and soap. Also take some comfy clothing and a brush. For baby just the coming home outfit.

  • Chapstick, a nice nightie and robe, underwear, slippers, unless you want to wear the hospital slippers, toothbrush and paste, deodorant, a book or magazine, hand lotion, clothes to wear home. The hospital provides a lot of stuff, but if you want your own you can bring it. For the baby a onesie. The hospital should provide enough diapers to get you home. Best wishes!

  • For you: couple bras (preferably nursing bras), extra undies (you bleed alot), comfortable clothes, slippers or socks, all hygeine products, and of course a camera or video camera

For the baby: diaper bag with diapers, wipes, burp rag, blanket or two, a hat, outfit to go home in
the hospital normally supplies diapers and wipes for you while you are in the hospital

  • Go to the Daily Buzz tab at the top of the page and and select Pregnancy. There is a post on there listing what you should have, as well as suggestions from other Moms. This question has also been asked at least twice today, so you can check that out and see what people have said. :)

  • Oh, and what I started doing at about 32 weeks (there was some pre-term labor concern) was carrying a bag of the things I'd be wanting just for labor. Remember: you might not be at home when labor begins, so you'll want to make sure you have some of your stuff with you at all times!

  • 1st time mommy's tend to over do it!!!!! Trust me we just did this in Sept so i know.
The hosptial provides you with all the stuff that a hotel would - little soap, shampoo wash cloths & Towels, diapers 4 the baby, etc..... You just need the bare esentials like cloths 4 u 2 go home in ( you'll be in the size of cloths you were in at about 6 months as your tummy is not completely gone yet!!!) a special outfit you want your baby to have his 1st pic's in , a out fit for baby to go home in your own shower shoes and your baby's carseat.
The hospital MUST see your carseat or they won't let you leave with your baby. If you don't have one, most hospitals have a program where you can purchase them from right in the hospital.
REMEBER - you are going to have visitors bring you flowers and teddy bears so you will have lots more to take home than what you go in with!!!
    Good Luck :)
