What can be substituted for white wine?

Its a turkey recipe and I am allergic to wine is there anything I can add inplace of the wine?

  • I wouldn' t use juice. It reduces unlike wine which evaporates. The result will be syrupy and sweet. Chicken Broth is a great substitute, and what is recommended by most chefs. However, you would reduce the salt that is called for and season to taste, as Broth and stock both have a tidy amount of salt in them.
    I wouldn't try the sherry either unless you're sure you aren't allergic to it. If it's for thanksgiving you don't want to have a reaction!

  • Chicken broth. Juice is significantly sweeter than wine, but you can do half white grape juice and half chicken stock...or just use the chicken stock.
