  • I got a bakini wax a week and a half before I delivered. I delievered a month early due to low amneotic fluid, that was low for the previous 2 weekly OB visits. The wax didn't throw me into labor, wanted to clarify that LOL But I went to a doctors office that does skin care. They would not have done it had there been any dangers. My girl friend works in the office, which is how I trusted their advisement. I was tired of not being able to see down there to shave and didn't want to worry about shaving after birth so I had it done. And I would do it again. I wouldn't opt in for a brazillian though, that's just painful LOL

  • All the wax does is grip the hair and pull it out, it's not on your skin for a long time either so I would think it's safe. You may be more sensitive in the nether regions because of increased blood flow to the pelvic region so it may smart a bit more than usual but I don't think waxing is ill-advised during pregnancy.

  • I had a brazilian wax right before I delivered because I also could not see down there. The only thing was that it was a little uncomfortable to be on my back for very long. But, my doctor said it was fine.
