My favorite is the traditional green tree with clear lights, colored glass ornaments, garland, tensel, an angel at the top and of course, lots of presents at the bottom!

Real tree, a mixture of white and colored lights (put on first so they go all the way from the center of the tree to the outside tips), then ornaments. Most of my ornaments, we've made ourselves.
That's a slide show of some of them, if you're curious :)
After ornaments, I add bows made from various ribbons, and this gorgeous garliand of glass beads I found one year at Michael's. No tinsel, too much hassle to clean up! And an angel at the top that is holding candles that are actually tiny lights.

Next question overall
What should I do if my stepson wants to call me "Mom"?
