  • My son LOVES having a mirror to look into in the car. So I have one set up in the back window so that I can see him, and he can see me and himself.

  • I wouldn't hang anything up it could fly in a car accident causing injury and just because you think it's a light toy and it won't hurt think again. My DD hates the car seat too but there really isn't anything to do but maybe talk and sing. If you have a children's music CD try that.

  • Try a different car seat. She might be getting to big or uncomfortable in that one. If it's a carrier type seat, baby might be feeling a little cramped. Might be worth trying a convertable seat. Check the car seat to see if there is anything in it that might be pushing up against her and check the straps to make sure they aren't pintching her.

  • Is she in an infant carrier or a convertable? Some babies do MUCH better in a convertable because they are sitting up more and can see better. I recommend a convertable with a 35lb rear facing limit, you'll get the most use out of it that way and can have her rear facing as long as possible which is safest. Britax Marathon is my personal top pick.

  • Agree with jaycee1124. My son has had a Britax Decathalon from birth. I never had an infant carrier and never had any issues with the car seat. I've had 3 of my friends who's children got fed up with the infant carrier go out and buy the Decathalon. My mom says it's like a Lay-z-boy car seat. Very comfy. The difference between the Marathon and Decathalon is the padding. Since this was my son's only car seat, we went for the extra padding. He's now 22 months and still loves his "chair".
