How many naps does your toddler take?

I was just wondering about everyone else and how many naps their child takes during the day and how long. My daughter is 18 months and takes 2 2hour naps a day most days if we aren't out and about. If she doesn't nap, I still make her lay in there to give her some quiet time and a break from me. She doesn't ever cry...just sits in there and talks to herself and her babydoll. Anyways..I was just wondering what everyone else makes their child do for naptime? Thanks!

  • Our daughter will be 17months in 3 days :)

She wakes up in the morning at around 8-9am
She takes her nap after lunch for 1-3hours (always different hehe)
She goes to bed at 7pm. Sometimes, when we had a long day and walked a lot ect. then she goes to bed at 6pm already because shes too tired. :)

So yeah... she usually only has one nap during the day of 1-3 hours. Most days its only 1.5-2horus

  • We do a quiet time nap time once a day for 2 or 3 hours. Not very often do they sleep but if they do it can go into 4 fours of quiet time for me.

  • My son is 2 years old and he takes one nap after lunch. He used to sleep for 2 + hours, but now he only sleeps for 1 1/2 hours.
But, if your little girl is sleeping both times and she doesn't give you trouble when you put her down for bed, she obviously needs the sleep. She might be growing or just used to taking rest times during those times of day.
As long as she is healthy and not tired or without energy all day long, I don't think it should matter.

  • my daughter is 15 months an she takes (most of the time) 2 naps a day .
I was just reading last week that tots that are over 14 months might not want to have as many naps anymore (probably not any) to tell you honestly I would rather it that way because then when it is bed time instead of being fussy she can just crash out and snore! lol Like today she had no naps and by 9 p.m she was out.
