What type of heat do you have and how much does it cost to heat your home per year?

I have forced air heat and I buy oil to run my furnace. I got a new furnace so things are MUCH cheaper this year than they have been in the past. But I was wondering what people were paying.

  • Electric baseboard. We are all electric. With AC. I'd say our total electric bill is around $2400 yearly.

  • Propane furnace and wall heater probably $1,500.00 before The end of April when we can finally shut down the heat during the day but still have to turn it on at night.

  • We have a furnace and heat with oil. It costs around $1200 to fill up our tank and less if we have not used all of it from the previous winter.

  • Electric furnace and we pay about $70/month during the winter. I'd guess about $1100 for the year, including the A/C.

  • We have a natural gas forced air furnace and live in the NE. I spent about $1300 to heat the house and run the hot water heater this past year.
