  • Is it for different groups of people? I had two. One was with work and one was with family/close friends.

  • No, you can have as many baby showers as you want to have. I feel like if you have close familly and friends who care , go for it. But if they criticizing you than they are not close to you.Good luck with your decision and congrats!

  • no! You can really have as many as you want. I had 2 baby showers with my first. They were both surprise baby showers and I love it. With my second I only had one but I wasnt even expecting that one so I was very grateful but if you could have 2 then have them.

  • I had 3......:-P Not exactly by choice, but my mother threw my main shower, some girlfriends threw a surprise one, and then a group of ladies at church decided to throw me a third! Since I didn't ask for any of them, I didn't feel too bad. lol

    I don't think it's a bad thing - why are you considering having 2?

  • I had three baby showers =] Two family members don't like each other, so they did two seperate showers for me. The third was from my boyfriend's family, the majority of them speak Spanish and live in a totally different city than my family.

  • I did! One with friends and one that some women at my mother's church threw for me. I don't have any other family anywhere near me but they all sent me stuff so I guess you could say I had a third mail-order baby shower too!

  • Haha I have to agree with jessicarae787....I kind of had a mail-order baby shower too; friends and family from all over the country sent me a bunch of gifts. So that was like 4 showers! I honestly think there is nothing wrong with having more than one shower, go for it!

  • I am having three....I don't care if it is bad or good it separates everyone that I don't want together and it is easier to keep track of everything in my opinion. One for my family, on for Dh's family, and one for my friends....I like to think of it as what is not right or wrong to everyone else...but what is right for me. Have fun!

  • No, who is going to tell you it's bad? If people want to throw you more than one, just enjoy it. I had 3 with my first because there were different groups of people having them, it's not like you are inviting the same people over and over and asking for more gifts...no worries.

  • Not at all! I had one with my side of the family, one with my husband's, it's just too hard to squish everyone together!
