  • My DD is 2-1/2 and still needs help brushing her teeth. I usually brush them first, talking to her about what I'm doing ("Ok, we're going to brush the top teeth now" etc). Then, once I'm done, I give her the toothbrush and let her brush for a little while. She's getting the hang of it now, but it will still be a while before I let her do it completely on her own.

  • You let her try to brush hers. You sometimes let her try to brush yours. But either before or after, you brush hers properly. You will need to help her until she's 3 or 4 and you will need to keep doing inspections until she's 8.

  • we started using an electric toothbrush for my daughter at around 2 years. now she can brush her own teeth but i still help her to make sure she's getting them clean enough.
prior to that i would just brush them for her myself.

  • you just brush her teeth and when your done let her play with it for a while. I usually brushed my kids teeth till they were 4ish and even then I still a few times a week brushed them for them becuase they never do a good enough job.
