  • Buy the cheapest beef or pork roast you can find. Rinse and season generously with salt, pepper, or whatever you have. I use beef boullion powder, which is very salty. The salt does a lot of the tenderizing. Mix some in the water for gravy. Bake with a little water in the pan (for gravy) for approximately 30 minutes per pound, at 325 degrees. Add onion, potatoes and other vegies later. It is done when you can shred the meat with a fork. The leftovers are so versatile- sandwiches, casseroles, soups, salads, and on the last night- hash. Use leftover gravy to flavor these things. Remember too that if you cut up the meat and potatoes, they will cook a little faster, and save on your energy bill.

  • Spaghetti Chicken!
Brown chicken parts (any kind your family likes)
After browning, pour off most of the oils (leave a little for the taste)
Take your favorite jar of spaghetti sauce and pour over the chicken and let cook for 30 or so minutes until the chicken is tender.
Cook your fav pasta and then voila dump the chicken and sauce on the pasta and you have a wonderful meal! Veggies can be added to (zuccinni is great).
