  • pump or feed baby if you are still nursing.

if it's because you are stopping nursing, put cold cabbage leaf inside a very tight bra (sports bra works well) change leaves when they get warm & wilted.

  • I did pump and he won't eat off it cause it's so hard. milk is coming out VERY VERY little. This is the first time it's happened cause I normally pump or feed him every 3 hours but I went longer today cause i was out shopping... and now I can't get it to go away

  • Try expressing milk out by hand. I always have better luck that way than with a pump.

  • Heat will make engorment worse so don't use that. Pump a little off or hand express so that your baby can latch and then afterwards use a cool compress to make it feel better.

  • hand expressing while in a warm shower can help. if baby is still nursing then you can express enough so that the breast isn't as hard and then offer it to baby.
