Do you have a tattoo in honor of your child or children?

Do you have a tattoo that you got for your kid(s). I'm thinking about getting a footprint or his hands.

  • I want one really badly in honor of my son...but I am waiting until I come up with something really good. I have one that I got for my husband (actually i got it when we were in high school and dating-which made my mom really angry) and I kind of wish I had waited and thought of something a little better, but I still love the tattoo because it is for him. But, I do have a friend and he got his daughters footprint and her name over his heart. It turned out really great and I think it is the sweetest thing I have ever seen.

  • Make a stamp of both his hands and feet now. That way you'll have them for them to carbon copy at the tatoo shop whenever you make up your mind.

  • I have one for my daughter on my back. it is a vine growing in the shape of a clock set to the time of her birth. her name is above and b-day underneath. i will be getting one for my son as well. his is going to be the ABC block's stacked spelling out his name. i think that tattoos are wonderful but take into consideration.......do you want to be a tattooed up 80 year old? be careful where you have it.

  • It's easy for me, my son was born on St. Patrick's Day. A 4 leaf clover with his name (Kevin Patrick) and birthdate. I might also try to incorporate a Fluer De Lis in there too, since he was born in New Orleans and we don't live there anymore. A nice way of honoring where and when he was born.

  • I have one of my son's name on my upper arm and am having a butterfly put around his name onto my back which is where our daughters name is going and we are having two more little ones and I am saving room for their names as well. On my other arm I am getting their birth years tatooed in seperate banners.

  • I have each of my 5 boys' handprints tattood down my back shoulder. They are their actual baby handprints that they took at the hospital. Very cute & very sentimental!! The only thing I didn't do was put their names with it, I thought it looked great as is :)

  • I would love to do this for my kids, but am waiting till we are SURE we're done making babies. I mean I won't get any if we have like 5 kids or something. If we stick with just the two then I will get something for them done. I'm not big on a lot of tats on women. That's just me though...
