Do your children behave in restaurants?

My husband takes me and the children out to meals, one capable to eat himself and another can kind of eat by himself the other 2 are in highchairs and the youngest still in his baby carrier i find it quite easy and they are very well behaved most of te time which does'nt make it a problem.
What's it like for you ?
Do you find it hard?

  • Yep I take my brood out quite a bit. Well not alot but more than most mothers I know. Our 8 yr old is completely well behaved, our 7 yr olds are pretty good too except they can get a little over excited sometimes, our 5 yr olds are awful but they know that they have to behave in restaraunts so they're great then and my 21 month old is perfect already. So it's alright, we take them from a young age so that they know what's expected of them. Our 8 yr old sets a great example to the younger ones :).

  • Not hard at all. I discipline my kids. They know what is expected of them and know what will happen if they misbehave in a restaurant. We have always taken our kids with us. From the time they were babies. It makes me angry to see other peoples kids running around, yelling, screaming acting like little isiots while the parent make a few lame, half ass attempts to settle them down.

  • most of the time we do ok i have 3 kids 5 3 and 1. every once in a while they are just awful like when its been a long day away from home but most of the time they are good and are polite. i had on several occasions ladies come over and say how impressed they are with the kids behavior.

  • Sometimes. We rarely go out to eat, but when we do we will take our son. One of us usually has to get up and walk around with him. He is going to be 10 months old in 2 days. He does not have the patience for going out to eat and just sitting there. He gets irritated.

  • We take our kids out all the time... our 5 year old has her moments but for the most part is good in public and our 23 month old behaves himself as long as he is occupied with something.

  • Its alright for us. Elijah is 19 months so as long as he's got some crackers to munch on before the food gets there he is good!

  • I make him sit in his high chair when in a restaurant, but we eat out at least once a week (standing date with frineds). I tried letting him sit in a booster in a booth and that was a disaster! he won't sit still ifhe doesn't have to.
