  • It is a celtic knotted triangle. It is about 6 inches long in any direction. It is only the black outline. It is on my back below my shirt neckline. I want it removed because it sometimes shows. I am a teacher and I do not think it is a good example for my students. And it is so big that I am just over it.

This article has a lot of information. Part of what it says is that the laser beams break up the ink and the body absorbs it. It says that several visits may be necessary.

  • From what my tattoo artist told me, "It's a lot more fun going on than coming off...and cheaper, too!" How often does it show? Is there anything you could wear, like a fitted tank top, under your clothes that would hide it?

  • the fitted tank sounds way cheaper and less painnful. i had a messed up tat which was on the top part of my back. i got it covered up and at work i do wear fitted tanks the one with the bra it also helps hide that lil unwanted weight.

  • It will cost you a good $3,000-$4,000 to get it "removed". I say removed in quotations because even with the laser it's not fully gone. You can still see faded black spots where the tattoo once was. And it's more painful than getting a tattoo. Your best best would be a cover-up tattoo. There are some tattoo parlors that are super-great at doing cover-ups. It will save you pain and money.

  • Beforeyoureyes is completely spot on - laser removal is expensive and it just fades it down. I suggest using a make-up covering cream. DermaBlend makes an awesome product that totally works. A lot of celebs use it and people use it at weddings and formal events too!
You can get it at Dillards. It good not to come off super easy too.

  • By the way, if it's anything like laser hair removal, you're in for a bit of pain.
Imagine a rubber band smacking the he!! outta ya over and over again.
