  • because some idiots think that it is easier, less painful, they can choose the time/date, not stretch or rip, etc. what they don't know is that in most cases, vaginally delivery is so much better for the baby and the health of him/her.

  • We asked me doctor this question. He said some woman are scared of vaginal births, some dont want a cone head baby. He said that he read some research on C-sections and if you perform 100 c-sections you save 10 babies and loose 1 mom (according to the research). He couldnt remember the number for vaginal births in the research but you save more babies with the c-section (again, according to the research).

  • I had an elective c section 8 months ago..For me personally, I healed very quickly, was up moving the day after..I am in good physical shape and snapped back. As far as pain..it isn't bad in my opinion. I had a spinal block (injection in the spine) and that was it..the injection wore off in 24 hours and after that I was given Percocet. My reasons..1. No pushing.2.No stretching out my va jayjay..3. I knew my son's birthday in advance. 4.Nice round head..5.MOST IMPORTANTLY: Was easier on my son.

  • I think it's honestly because from the time we learn where babies come from, we are told how painful labor is and how long it takes. And when you get preganant, everyone has a story to tell you! I didn't opt for a c-section, but when they said I had to have one, I was honestly relieved. I was scared, and I didn't fee the nurses were as concerned as they should be when my baby's heart rates kept dropping. So it was just a huge relief to me. BUT I don't think women are educated on the risks of c-sections. I mean, they're slicing your uterus with a knife! I am getting ready to ttc, and my previous c-section has me worried. I do not want another one, and I have read that women who have c-sections can have a harder time getting pregnant.

  • I have had 2 and will have another next month. They were not my choice. They are not fun. Yes you can bounce back if you have an older child that you dont have to do much for. But people like me who have younger older kids that you still have to pick up and do EVERYTHING for it is very hard exspecially if you dont have a lot of help. If had the choice I wouldnt have them. They are a very scary thing to go through. And to do it judt so your va jay jay wont stretch or so you dont have to push it a stupid reason. Sorry but it is. I would gladly have gone through those things to be able to push my babies out.

  • well i honestly think to just elect for a c section is taking the easy way out and in the end its not the easy way out. I mean come on giving birth is a wounderful thing. Your babys head goes to normal after a few hours, your vagina goes back, you can return to your daily activities faster. I dont think it should be a elective thing. By all means if its safer for baby then take my baby by c section.
