Where did your water break?

I was induced with my daughter and they broke my water in the hospital. I'm REALLY NERVOUS about where mine will break if it breaks on its own! I don't know if posting this question will make me feel better or worse, but where did yours break? Was it embarrassing? I'm picturing me at work teaching when it breaks in front of a classroom of kids or in the middle of wal-mart and me having to tell a stockboy to go clean up fluid that has been marinating my insides for months. Gross! Probably a silly thing to worry about, but I'm still concerned! lol

I wad induced but my water broke on its own in the hospital. Don't worry about where you are, it rarely happens like in the movies when the water breaks and that begins labor. It is usually sometime well after labor has started. So unless you plan on going to walmart while you are having contractions you should be safe!

I was induced and the doc broke my water in the hospital too. I'm pregnant again and wonder if this time it will break on it's own and if so where and when. Hopefully at home and not shopping at the mall or something, lol.

First kid - home in bed
Second kid - FLOOD in the middle of Kroger's (grocery store) on the Sunday before Labor Day
Third kid - doc did it in the hospital as I was already over 10 cm when I got there (almost had that one on the interstate)

I dont think it breaks like gushing like a fire hydrent or anything. So i think you will be fine there. With my 1st preg, i was 4 1/2 months and my water broke on the way to walmart, when i got out of my car, i felt like i peed on myself or something, (and it looked like it too.) With my 2nd preg, I woke up in the middle of the night because i was having a contraction, I went to sit on the potty (cause it always made me feel better) and i started peeing, and peeing and peeing. lol, i couldnt stop! So after a few mins, i realized my water broke. I got to the hospital about 45 mins later and by the time i walked from the car, to the ER it was running down my leg. It never just gushed. i believe You leak slowly until you deliver.

dont worry about it you cant stop your water breaking it happenes when it happens and where it happens

i was going to say that most people don't get a huge "gush" when they are standing up because the babies head acts like a cork.
