How do you deal with a pet allergy without getting rid of your pet?

  • I am I just don't let them near my face....after I pet them if their is lots of hair I just wash my hands. I also have Benadryl on hand in case I start sneezing (which is rare). I have 4 cats.

  • My mom was told that what you are allergic to is something in their saliva when they groom themselves. She was told to wipe the cats down with a damp washcloth each day & that really helped her! Also, keep them inside. When they go outside they bring other allergens back in with them.

  • I have allergies and asthma...and the best way to help is to make sure you bathe them regulary...always seems to help me!

  • I am severly allergic to cats.....I get a shot once a week and I have a shampoo from the pet store that is a foam and you rub it in their fur once a week to get rid of the allergens......I also have 3 cats and I love my furbabies........
