  • How the hell is he getting it? What state you live in? If you lived by me I would have you send him my way to see how the hell my brother turned out from smoking pot. Most folks start out using pot then move up the chain to other drugs. Try this

  • Turn him into the police for having it. A little jail, or court ordered treatment might help.

  • Take it from an ex-cop, scare him a little, some police station will help you out. They'll have you Bring him in and then they'll show him what happens to some ppl on drugs, some might even pretend arrest him, like show him what it feels like to be in handcuffed and fingerprinted. There several reason why kids would try pot, for one its the least harmful of the drugs, another could be rebellion, talk to your son ask him if he's having trouble at school, girlfriend, bullies, etc.., he could also be seeking attention from you and this is the only way he could get it from you. Remember you are the parent you need to set the rules. dont give him an ulitmatium like if you dont stop i'll kick you out cause remember what teenager doesn't want to live on their own. hope this help

  • Let me start off by saying that you did not fail your son. Society failed him. Teens today think that they need to do drugs to fit in, be cool, drown out their problems, etc....This isn't your fault. And secondly, addictions are dieases....it isn't something a person can just stop.

Check out the show called Intervention on A&E...it would be super helpful to you in this situation I think.

Just the fact that you are asking for help is awesome!!! Ask other friends and family members for help too....if you guys work together, then maybe you can beat this disease!

  • I do not agree that addiction is a disease, that is just BS. That is just what it's called now to pacify them and let the drug users use that as an excuse!

  • i know this might sound bad but sometimes there is nothin you can do to stop them besides sending them away. when i was younger i smoked it all the time i mean the time i woke up to the time i went to bed. with kids sometimes the more you tell them not to do something the more they will do it. one day i woke up and knew something was worng with the way i was liven i was a diffrenet person i didnt care about work friends i moved out of my dads house and was live where ever i could sleep. i call my sister in GA and asked i i could move in. she let me and that day i packed up what i had and drive 8 hours to get to her house.

  • I have a friend who's daughter came home from work one night stoned and she confessed to her mom that she got high with the manager at the fast food place she worked at. My friend called in to talk to the owner of the store and reported both her daughter and the manager. They both lost their jobs and charges were filed against them. I think that was great of my firend, as far as she knows it was her daughter's first offence and has yet to do it again. I should mention that this girl can't lie to her mom, she really can't she's so obvious!
