How do I keep rabbits out of my garden?

Bugs Bunny keeps getting in my garden and is eating up our broccolli and lettuce plants!! My dad told me to mix up a solution of hot sauce, water and a little dish soap and spray it on the plants and the rabbit will get a taste and go away. Not working!! He's eaten about 4 of our broccoli plants and the lettuce won't grow cuz he's eating the tops off of the plants. I don't want to hurt the rabbit, I just want him to stay out of the garden!!! Help!!

  • This is going to sound nasty ...but it works. Human Hair! Ask your beautician for a bag and spread the clippings where you have had the problems. The odor/scent keeps them away. good luck

  • Put up tin pie plates on a stick with a string. Also a fake snake or owl work or putting mesh globes over them will work.......sprinkle HOT chili powder on the plants you dont want them eating, if you have roses, and clip them put the thorney branches around the plants as bunnied dont like getting their feet poked by the thorns. A good fence is the best solution.

  • Fence!! Dig it down so they don't dig underneath.

  • Two things we always did with my mom's garden is to plant marigolds around the perimeter because they don't like the smell, and we sprinkled bloodmeal around the garden. Also a smell thing for them. You can get it in garden stores.
