  • When I lived on well water (when I was a teen) we took our laundry to the laundry mat, because it would tint everything and make it dingy. No amount of bleach worked for us.

  • I find that it is very difficult to get laundry white with well water. About once a month I run a white laundry with a cup or two of bleach in the hottest water setting. I let the tub fill, then let it agitate with the detergent for about a minute. Then let it sit for a couple hours, then finish the wash. Then wash again. It is important that the second wash be the highest level of water. I used the medium level once and when I did my next load of colors they got bleached from bleach left on the drum above the medium level line, as odd as that seems. Now I am more careful.

  • When we had well water, we took the whites to the laundry mat. Nothing we did would keep our whites white. I don't know if yours does the same, but ours turned orangey.

  • There is something called Iron Out that may help.  You can try Walmart or Home Dept for it
