  • If it's another drug, NO! I don't believe in ADHD, I think it's a way to control our children and make them into future druggies. Change his diet, get him away from TV and Video Games. Try anything, just keep him off drugs!

  • I have heard of it. I asked my children's doctor about it, b/c both of mine have ADHD. She said she had never heard of it. And since only one supplier has it, and only sells it on one website (at least in all my research), she thinks it's probably not very helpful.
It is a belt that uses weight to kind of balance the child a bit more, and it's supposed to help them focus and concentrate better.

  • As for anon, yes, you've mentioned in several posts you don't believe in it. So, let me ask, why the hell do you keep coming to the ADHD questions? We believe in it, we deal with children that have it. You don't believe in it, yay for you! Leave us alone. For your info, my child's diet is as natural as it can get, they do not watch TV, and being on the meds does NOT turn them into future druggies. In fact, recent studies show that letting the ADHD go untreated is more likely to turn them into druggies, among other problems. Take your holier than thou attitude somewhere else.

  • I have not heard of this. Very interesting though. So many children are diagnosed with ADD/ADHD and it would be wonderful to find something that was non-pharmacological that helped. Parents who have their children on meds do it because that's what works for their children and they can function. I'm sure they would jump at the chance to try something different if it were available.

  • what is the website? my 10yo has adhd, and after the hollidays, his therapist will be evualating my 7yo, i would love to try something non-med for them
and anon, i've said it before and i'll say it again, spend an entire day with a room ful of non-medicated adhd children and then come back and try to say it isn't real! there is NOTHING WRONG with giving your children medicine for a medical condition! is my 7yo going to turn into a druggie b/c he gets meds for his epilespy? or do i just need to change his diet?

I have also heard this, that as they get older they will self medicate to try to help themselves.

  • People who does not believe in ADHD and meds should read more about it...go to CHADD.ORG and get informed ...instead of making statements without any support. GET EDUCATED!
