  • Draw a line with an eye pencil on your lid and smudge it. Then apply the eyeshadow over it. This really helps the shadow to stick and stay in place.

  • you can use an eye shadow base if you want to use powder shadow, "Too Faced" makes a good one (you can find it online or in some dept. stores), or you can just buy cream eye shadow...it stays put much better than the powder. Layering subtle colors also helps it stay on longer.

  • I use concealer on my eyelids before putting the shadow on. Works pretty well. They also make primers you can use.

  • They usually sell a primer for eye shadow, just look at your local drugstore. I know Revlon use to carry a really good one but I havent worked at Walgreens in over a year and they have changed so much. Good luck!

  • Some company...I can't remember which.....simply because I'm so dang tired LOL.....just came out with a long wearing eye shadow that is natural (organic). I'd check that out. Can't remember the name of the company though. Honestly a lot of natural mineral makeup or organic makeup (like Nicole Miller) just naturally stays on without any added junk.

  • I had the same problem...I just put some moisturizer over my eyelids and a little bit of conceler and that will usually do the trick.

  • Definitely moisturize your face first, then use a primer, either by powdering, using an actual makeup primer, or a white or nude eye pencil first. Let all of the steps "set" before going to the next one. Lastly, apply a good, natural, safe eyeshadow.

If you want more tips, let me know, I do makeup shows all the time :)
