 If you want to hold inventory, you can, but you will need to get a re-seller's permit, depending on your state, from the state offices or you can google it. You can do that online or over the phone and I believe it is free. (There is a folder about sales tax...this info is in there)

When/if you sign up, Your sponsor will send you emails regarding the business such as a commission chart, consultant guide, business tips and tools, ways to advertise and market, what to do about parties/craft shows(if that's your thing), info about our yahoo group and candleboard, and an intro from them, as your sponsor.

It's actually really easy to do this biz. It might feel overwhelming or look difficult at first, but you get the hang of it pretty quickly. All you have to do is advertise wherever you can, online, offline, word of mouth, etc. There are so many websites you can join and advertise for free, especially cafemom..there are so many wah groups here. If you have a printer, you can print out fliers to leave places. I have sample ads that I let my team members use, I email them and then they change the contact info on them. If you want to spend a little money, you can get 250 business cards for free, just pay shipping from vistaprint.com (I think it's about $9.50) But you don't have to. We do not have catalogs for 2009 but we do have fliers and a catalog one of our consultants created...located in our Yahoo group.

We do have places for support/training such as our yahoo group and candleboard (which you have to be consultants before you can join those), but we also have team chats on line, here in the group and in our company chatroom located on our DCC toolbar (which you will also have to be a consultant in order to have access to)
