Unibrow

LOL.

My 13 year old son came out of school today and asked if he could shave his unibrow.  I took a really good look at him and there are a few hairs that are starting to creep their way towards one another between the two brows.

Do I really want him to shave it?  I can't imagine suggesting waxing or tweezing to him.

I prefer he leave it as it because it's really not all that noticeable but if he's self conscious about it I want to help him.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Tweezing would be best--no one has to know, and shaving it would be too obvious...

If he's self-conscious, YOU can pluck a few hairs from the middle. I wouldn't let him do it though, he can make a mess of it if he doesn't know what he's doing.

Thanks, ladies.  I'll suggest tweezing to him and see how that goes over.

Have him search for boy eyebrow in youtube. There's some pretty good videos showing guys plucking to get rid of the unibrow look, and trimming to get rid of the long eyebrow hairs. He can see how its done and that it's not just for girls.

I think it is a pubery thing.  My son was also teased about it.

I told himnot to do anything.  I told him "tell showever teases you that you are becoming a MAN and men have facial hair".

He did shave it one time (without) my knowing) but soon got over it.  The hair really did not come in very much.  They usually outrgrow this "unibrow".

I would not woprry about it.

Yes... grooming is important =-) I would use VEET... but be careful.

Definitely don't let him shave it! That's just the worst thing!

Thanks, ladies.  We did a preliminary tweezing today.  I couldn't see very well in the bathroom light & there was no sun.  Next sunny day I'll go over the area again.
