Are any of your children planning on joining the military? If so, how do you feel about their decision?
Two of mine are in JROTC, and they both plan on enlisting. They will be sophmores next year. Taking it one day at a time, but I support their decisions either way.
My son wants to be an airplane machine for the Air Force. He was wanting to join the AFROTC but his high school doesn't offer. So he's either going to join right after he graduates high school or go to Cincinnati & join the AFROTC, then the Air Force. I'm proud no matter what he does.
my 17 yr old son sprung it on me about 7 mos ago that he wants to join the Marines. I have mixed emotions about it. The marines are in the middle of fighting and always the 1st to go in. I dont want my son coming home in a box. I want to support him and encourage him in his decision, but its hard. He wants to go fight. He says thats the point of joining. :( I just don't know.....
I would completely support my children joining the military, we are even encouraging them to. My oldest son doesn't want to and I'm not going to push the issue. My husband is in the Army so we know the pros and cons of it and definitely think the pros outweigh the cons.
