I am bad.  I don't pay attention to what I spend.

I know I do.  The kids are out of school.  So, there is an additional meal per child per day.  During school, they are on a free lunch program.  No such thing for summer!  LOL.

i would be surprised if we all dont do so... no school and kids active at home and getting hungry in between meals and getting hot so they want popsicles and drinks and bringing lots of friends over so there are extra mouths to feed, yes summer defintely cost more.

Oh my goodness yes!  My oldest is with his dad right now and let me tell ya, my grocery bill has been cut in half.  He runs track and cross country, so his metabolism is unreal!  Come July both the older boys will be here, plus my parents will be here for a week.  I clipped a ton of  coupons to save some money, lol.

Yes, I do. School lunches don't seem so cheap until you have to buy and make lunch at home during the summer, plus snacks, plus everything that is normally purchased.

Our grocery bill goes up when schools out. Its worse when DH takes vacation and the kids are out of school. Between you and I, I think I need to put a pad lock on the food so it will last all week.
