drugs - ? - flame tip - anyone hear about this?

Hi - I am ashamed to admit that I read a letter from my son to his girlfriend.  I didn't do it out of being nosey....just searching for clues to see what he is really up to.  The kid is smart, an amazing writer.  What disturbed me was how he was writing this letter, nothing weird, but lots of reptitions, big print, then small print, declaring his love.  Blah, blah, blah.  Nothing interesting.  Then at the end, he says, "I don't knowwwzzz....I'm on that flame-tip so maybe right now is not the best time for me to be writing this."

What the heck could a flame-tip be?  I'm hunting around on the internet now and am freaking out.

I just asked him about it, and he said it's a "variation of stoner words" and it means "to be really hyper".   I gave him a bogus story about why I was asking. 

I'm  sick over this but can't put my head in the sand.   If I find out anything more or if anyone knows of anything, please post.

Ok ill say it again flame-tip is pot. Smoking weed. Ok? Just asked my 18 year old and his 4 friends they all had the same answer.

Madcrazymom is right....that's a phrase used when someone is high on pot.

Sorry you are dealing with this, hopefully he was just pretending to his gf?....I hope you are able to talk with him and get things figured out...hugs!!

 It could also mean that legal K2, it is slowly being made illegal, but at the moment it is legal in many states and not traceable in drug tests.  Not a nice thing, suppose to give the same high as pot.

Thats a new one...never heard it referred to as that. Hopefully he was just embellishing and trying to "sound cool".
