I Totally Owned My Son Today

So, DS15 tells me that he can speak "Spanglesish". Apparently, that's a mix of Spanish, Japanese, and English. I told him to prove it. He spouts out a sentence that has a few words in each language all mixed together. I laughed. He said I should be impressed since I can't do that. I said "Wanna bet?" He challenges me to come up with a single sentence that uses at least ten languages in it. I smiled sweetly and said, "No."
Game over. I win. ;)

Lol. I don't cuss at all, but I do know how to do it in several languages. Funny how that happens, isn't it? ;)

There should always be a day when every parent manages to seriously stomp on their kids in some kind of challenge. It was highly satisfying. :)

I grew up in FL for 20 years so I know them all from the hispanics there, plus 2 years of spanish so I understand most of it.  I took 2 years of french and the teacher would repeat anything we said in french because we were only allowed to speak french and the kids got a kick out of it, and my grandmother is german and my best friend spent 2 years in germany (where she failed english twice) and she knew all the cuss words too.  I also know them in Italian, some in Greek too.
