Hi. New here but just to air it out... Really at the end of my rope can't seem to understand whyy son is acting this way.
I have 2 boys 17 yr old and a 3 yr old. My 17 yr old son, he is loving, caring, kind and a good student. Then it took a sudden turn that he become a different person. Last week he asked me that he wants to see/ talk to someone because he feels depressed. Went with him to see one but he won't go again. What should I do??? Please help...

I had problems with my son this year who is 17 as well.  It came down to our school putting him in classes that were all above his ability and he felt like he was drowning all year long and everyone pressuring him made him deeply depressed.

He does go to a therapist now and I had to fight the school to get him the help he needed to make it through.  One teacher was very responsive, one could care less, and another offered some help after school when she could be there for him.  The administration was very unhelpful to say the least.  I did make sure that next year the school did not get their way in putting him in classes that would be too much for him as well.  Our school year ends next Monday and I know he will be his happy go lucky self during the summer when the pressure is off.  I also found out a bully has been picking on him everyday this year which didn't help since they all want to fit in and be liked.

You need to try and figure out what it is that is causing the depression.  Is it a girl, a friend, school etc.  Combine the issues with hormones and it is not easy being a teen. Good luck
