While listening to the radio this week, I heard an ad for a new app called DriveScribe. It helps monitor your teen's driving, and they earn points for safe driving which can be redeemed for gift cards.

Do you think services like this sound like a good idea? Or do you think it could be another distraction to your teen while driving?

My son is a couple years away from driving, and we don't have smart phones at the moment. But I'm curious to see how apps like this may or may not benefit teen driving habits.

You need to drive with your teen and be the judge of that.  You decide what they are ready for despite what is legal.  It's a big responsibility.  Good Luck!

I'm not sure? Thankfully my DS has been a safe and great driver since he got his license 3.5 years ago on his 16th birthday.
