On Facebook, do you friend request people that are merely acquaintances, or who you have known casually? Or do you only friend request people who you really consider friends (including old friends)?
They are all people I know. I would consider some of them to be aquaintences now b/c they are people that I went to school with or knew when I lived in another state and we haven't been in touch through the years. Some of them I know well and see on a regular basis. I have a couple of Cafemommers on my fb too, that i've not met irl, just know through CM. I usually don't send out friend requests.

I do both. Several from hs, maybe 40 or so. Not all friends. Rest are friends from moving so much or family and a couple cafemoms.
I rarely friend request anyone, most people invite me. Unless they are family I always feel awkward.
Me too! That's why I asked the question. Cuz I see lots of people I know, but I think, oh, it might be weird to friend them. What if they don't want to be friends. But then why wouldn't they?? And I think maybe I take it too seriously because my kids are like, mom, its fb. What's the big deal? Just cuz someone friend requests you doesn't mean they want to be your bff. But truthfully, sometimes I get requests from people and I don't even know who they are. I know they are legitimate, because they will be friends of several of my friends. So I kind of know where they know me from, but I seriously have no idea who they are.

Oh, I forgot family. Most of my "friends" are family b/c we are all over the US. It's been much easier to keep in touch with everyone via fb.
Only people I know well. I rarely post on FB. I have less than 100 friends on my friends list. I never send requests, but I accept them if I know them.
