Week two of the crazy funeral watch... a vent

My mother in law is STILL neither buried or cremated.All her sons saw her by last Thurs evening.She will not be cremated till July 9th.Her oldest very odd son is the executor and has decided it honors ???? his mom to make it into the biggest deal he can figure out.This guy is 18 years older than my husband ,this brother is 70.He has never married and has more or less dated the same woman for 45 years.She has married and divorced twice and left two others at the alter.He has managed to get engaged twice but broke it off to check out if he had feelings still for the long time girlfriend.She rejected him so he went back to find the other woman were no longer available.We warned him this would happen.His tv broke many ,many years ago.He never repaired it because he would commandeer his moms.No matter who was there and if they were watching a movie he would take over.He hasn't any life.

My problem is my oldest is having PTSD issues with this.He has become angrier and angrier about the delay.Not his normal personality at all.We finally contacted his best friend in the military.He is currently based only a couple of hours from our oldest.We both spoke very confidentiality.He told us while our oldest was deployed a close friend was killed,we knew this ,but that his body was shown off to villages and his body was disrespected,we didn't know this..He was recovered and taken care of before being sent back to his family.Now I am crying.Anyway our son and he talk all the time.He said while it bugged him to that she had to wait till all her sons could see her he got that.But this dragging it out before putting her to rest for no reason is giving him a hard time and he talks about his friend a lot now.We explained this without detail to my husband's brothers.Two said this was reason to move but the oldest threw a massive fit.He said our oldest could man up. He is done in our family.By the time my uncle .an atty ,could file and be heard it would be this weekend.

SIXTEEN days on ice ugh.,he  is insisting her body be at the Rosary and Funeral service UGH.

My husband is heartsick and angry,To think our huge concern was if our sons should come back from camp early  BWAHAHAH.

He has never had anything to do with his nieces and nephews and now it will be less.He won't be at my house for holidays again

Went good, got to see the place and meet the people and things went well.  I'm looking forward to sunday now.

Wow!   I'm sure the poor woman would be turning over in her grave...if she had one, that is.    BIL is a nut job, for sure.     I'm glad this is the last you will have to deal with him.
