They are spending the summer with their grandparents. They have been gone a month. I talk to them everyday but it's not the same. I miss them telling me all about their day and the crazy way they act. I even miss their fighting. I must be lonesome. They are 16 and 15. Tell me what you love about your teen? This is what they have been up to while I have been lonely.
Volunteering

Hanging out with the horses

swimming

and hanging out

oh yeah and trying to freak me out

Can I send you mine? I love my kids to death but since we hit harder times and can't do shit this summer they have been spiteful and totally mean. I am doing everything I can to earn an extra buck to let them do things but money don't grow on tree's nor do jobs.
Most we've done this summer is 1 camping trip and 2 trips to the public pull which cost me $14.
Sorry your having a tough time. That sounds like our summer last year. It was tough so we spent a lot of time at the library. Thank god my kids love to read. Last summer if it wasn't free we didn't do it. look in your newspaper they usually have events and a lot of them are free.Hope this helps. See if you can find volunteer work for them. It gives them a sense of purpose.Just getting out of the house can help also.
