Night before ;ast night we decided it was a pizza  hut night.

I went online and ordered and then we all went to pck it up.  We decided on the way there we would just bring it home nstead of eatng it there bad mistake since my son took the 1st bite and it was raw.

They had just finished doing a complete remodel and the building was taken down to the studs inside and out and completely redone including the way the inside was set up.

They hired all new people which seemed to be all teens that had no experience or training.

They redid the pizza and we went to pick it up and they told us to keep the raw ones so I went home and put them in the oven for 15 minutes to cook them while we ate the second ones.  I then put them in the freezer after they cooled they can be reheated on 1 minute in the microwave and taste just like fresh and growing boys love them.

I told the girl on the phone it looked like they needed about 10 or 15 more minutes so they adjusted the time they cook them so maybe next time they won't be raw.  The funny part is they did the same thing at KFC and it took forever for them to learn how long to cook the chicken to where it wasn't raw.

I think it is great to hire teens just have at least one experienced adult there to train them.

If it really bugs you, call and ask for the owners name and number. The manager not be very good, but the owner will care that things are run right. The difference is money in his/her pocket.

Wow every job I had as a teen, well I only had one and kept it for years, we were really strict on food temperatures and that was 20 years ago!

Wow that is scary that the pizza was raw. I'm glad the store made it right and that they were willing to take advise on how to correct the situation.

Wow.    In my area, anyone working in the food industry has to have food handler cards.   Also, there has to be a supervisor on every shift.    Pizza Hut is lucky that you are so nice and understanding!

That's sort of funny about Pizza Hut. A friend of mine online ordered cheesy breadsticks and they told her they were out of breadsticks. Pizza Hut used to be soooo good.

Well, that was an interesting night to say the least but if someone doesn't hirre teens, then how are they supposed to learn? Teens have to start somewhere. right?  Then again, maybe these teens just didn't care?  Hopefully you won't have to go through that again. :)

yeah, seems to me that you need at least one that knows how to work everything and know how to cook.. goodness.. glad you helped them out vs hatefulness that most seem to resort too..

I worked at a Burger King restaurant for 3 1/2 years as a teen/young adult. I did a good job, and took pride in my work. I was mostly a cashier, but when I did work in the kitchen, I made the food like I would want to eat it, which meant neat and prepared properly.

I have to say though that I don't care for Pizza Hut. My husband and I got a raw pizza from them too, about 12 years ago. I don't think I've ordered a pizza from them in probably a decade. Their pizzas are too greasy - ick! I like Marco's and Papa John's much better. We also have a locally owned pizza place in our city that we like too.
