My DH, DS, and DD were out hiking near my sisters house(we were staying there for the weekend) and when they came back, I noticed he wasnt with them. They covered about eight miles of trail that day.
I called the police and they have been searching the woods for him. Its been about a week since he went missing. I'm currently pregnant, so my emotions are even worse. I'm just hoping that nothing has happened to him.
Edit: I should also add that he had an emergency pack with him and a "survival guide". So my hopes are still up.
Update: They found his backback laying in the middle of a clearing. It was cleaned out of supplies, so he either found somewhere to put the stuff or used it all. They found some foot prints fifteen miles away from the house, which means DS is heading in the wrong direction.
Update 2: They found him about two hours ago. Good thing they found him when they did, there are flash floods occuring all over the place. He was actually the victim of one, which is how they found him. He was unconscious in the water, floating down stream. He used up his supplies, which only lasted for three days. So he was running on empty for five days. He is still unconsious, his body was tossed around like a paper bag in the storm. I'd rather not go into his injuries.
I'm just glad he's alive!

OMG did they go out seperately or together? Wow I would be beside myself not being pregnant. You seem to be handling yourself very well for someone going through this. Hoping for you.
