No. I know me, and my kids, and we'd forget about refilling feeders. I don't want to tease the birds like that.

I ade my own out of 2liter pop bottles.. The Black Birds can't get in them.. I haven't gotten to getting the bottles out but, it's on my list of things to get dome, lol....Thanx for reminding me.. Take Care, Donna....

my boys had the same project in scouts but we made them for the nursing home and put them outside the windows of the bedridden patients so they could see them.

Quoting SuperLooneyMom:

Lol it happened ...it's was a cub scout project to make bird feeders. I was like cool. We did it and now we can't control the weeds. And that was 6 years ago.

Quoting SuperLooneyMom:

I would if they didn't poop them back into my yard and all sorts of weeds grow.

 I do the same

Quoting fammatthews4:

I put out a feeder about 2 months ago and plan on keeping it full during the winter. I also put food down for the squirrels too.

sounds like a win win situation unless it snows.

Quoting opinionatedmom:

makes sense in that case I'm glad you don't

Quoting fullxbusymom:

Yes they attract the Fisher cats and then all we have is dead birds, it basically lures them to their death.

Quoting 02nana07:

 any reason

 Quoting fullxbusymom:

Nope never

Maybe you are using the wrong type of food for the birds you have.  I have found the right kind for our birds and now they keep the feeders empty.

Quoting Jessiejack:

I put up feeders and they never touch them. But we have a ton of birds. I think it's the trees and the chicken feed that attracts them
