Just wondering if anyone is near me. I know there is an Arkansas group or 2, but there is no one ever in them, so I thought I'd check here, and see who's around. I live just outside of Little Rock, I love it here. I grew up in Indiana, and have been here almost 10 years. The weather is for sure better here!
Quoting graciefreesoul:i'm from arkansas but in oklahoma lol born in ft smith, can't stand it...can't stand a lot of places actually...i've only been thru the rock a million times but haven't visited...
i LOVE convenience...this place ain't convenient haha...mostly it's b/c a place is too big or too small or too 'country' lol right now i'm in a city that is too small AND country...lived in atlanta 6 years before this...too big AND too country (plust the public school system was awful) cept when you go a little north lol ft smith was too dead...tulsa was too big...i just haven't found my forever home that i'm comfy in...maybe i never will lol i'm just a pain in the rear insatiable indecisive nut! haha i did like GA tho...more choices, more culture, more open minded ppl..plus mass transit LOL

I like living close to little rock, it's convenient. Why don't you like a lot of places?

I had kids young, if I didn't have kids I'd be all about living in a more convenient, less country environment.
I am for sure not a fan of the bible belt mentality here.

i'm really just a homebody most of the time but i want the CHOICE to stay home on the weekend...or not...i eat a vegan diet and i feel like i'm slowly dieing here b/c there's only one place that caters to 'us' and i rarely go there...in the bigger/metro cities i have PLENTY of choices and im not limited to 1 stinkn expensive grocery store to get what i need to fix my own vegan meals...when i say 'country', i mean closed-minded lol ppl have this small town mentality here and in atlanta a lot of ppl i ran into could barely find their way around their neighborhood let alone the metro area...

My place isn't convenient by your standards for sure. But it is perfect for me, great school, and can be anywhere in little rock in 20 minutes.
