Will you be having a faschnaut today?

Faschnaut Day is the Pennsylvania dutch (german) tradition of making faschnauts (potato based donuts fried in Lard) on Shrove Tuesday, Fat Tuesday, Mardi Gras - whatever you chose to call the day before Ash Wednesday.  The tradition serves the purposes of using up the lard in the house prior to the start of the fasting associated with Lent.
