Without a chaperone...16 or 17 depending on the kid and grades. Chaperoned by a parent only...14 or 15 depending on the kid and grades.

I started at 13 or 14. We went to the movies every weekend.

I my husband and I started dating each other at 15 and 17.

I think 15 is a good age but it depends on the kid

My son just turned 17 but he has gone out with friends to the movies or skating for a couple of years.  He has been to 2 movies with his girlfriends, his first one was chaperoned only because he was 15 and his gf was 17.  I think it depends on their ages and if we approve of the gf.

My dd just turned 14 and has not gone out any yet and I probably will not let her go unchaperoned until she is at least 16 unless I know the boys parents and like him.

I know that is kinda messed up and its not that I don't trust my dd, I know that I would NOT allow her at 14 unchaperoned.  Plus the fact that she is only in 7th grade, and even being 8th grade at 14/15 I still may have issue with it.  Havn't gotten that far yet.

16 for both. Even tho we hope we have taught them self control, and the strength of character to resist coercion, at least by that age they are legal.

Depends on the kid. My oldest is 14 and does go on dates with her 16 yr old bf, but they prefer to usually just hang out together here. My 13 yr old just had her first at school bf, but is nowhere near ready to actually date yet (even though older sister had already had her first real date by this age). My older son is 11 and is starting to notice girls, but he's your typical immature boy so I'm sure I have time with him.
