We don't have one close to us.

i have never had one.  we belong to a health club here and it was nice when the kids were younger and before we built our own pool, but now we rarely use it.

We don't have one. I've been debating on getting one for a couple of years now but am not sure we'd use it often enough to be worth the money.

I'd love to have a family membership, but it's just too expensive here too.

My DD goes a lot with her friends, esp during open gym to play basketball and have fun. I love it for her

Never had one, so no opinion. There isn't one convenient to us.

Daughter had membership for afterschool care.  But even with membership, we had to pay for every class she wanted to attend (sans swimming since that was included in afterschool care monthly fee).  Husband had membership but quit - got tired of having to buy a "swim card" that was good for five visits to the pool.  We stopped daughter's membership after growing out of afterschool care.  I've been a member at 24 Hour for years, so husband joined there instead.
