Do any of you allow your kids to pick through the dirty laundry to get stuff out to wear to school when they have clean clothes in their bedroom, simply because they are your kids "favorite jeans"?

Pfft! Her floor is covered in clothes. I don't think she has a clue which ones are clean and which ones are dirty! I'm like whatever!

Haha that's how it was here, until last week when I did a major overhaul of everyone's rooms.

Op once they hit the baskets the only way they come back out is after they are washed. If they want to wear them then they can wash them.

If they want to wear jeans several days that is their issue.I would strongly suggest to mine they change if their shirt is dirty or smelly.

My 16 y.o. son will wear jeans several times but my stylin ; ) 15 y.o. son plans his clothes...he loves plaid shirts...

Idk my dd is a freshman in HS and my youngest teen, at this point thank goodness there is no way she would wear anything dirty or smelly, yuck. My DS outgrew that by about age 10 don't think dd ever went through that phase thank goodness!

my girls will for socks if none of thier socks in their dresser are "cool" enough.  but they have a tendancy to wear several pairs of socks in one day so they are usually still clean by the time they hit the laundry bag.

Mine did their own laundry. They could do as they please.

My 14 yo washes everything she wears (she does her own laundry).  She has never taken anything out of her laundry basket (well, have never seen proof of it) I think she would say "that's gross" I guess I should ask her lol I at one time wanted to have her wear a hoodie, sweatshirt a couple x's (but never would it be from the hamper) but that didn't fly...
