How many of you ladies were moms as teens? How old were you? Did your kids break the pattern, or follow it?

I was a teen mom, I was 13 when I had my son. My kids are not teen parents, they're 11, 14, 15, and 16.

I was 19 and mine are not going to be parents as the youngest is 18 and doesn't have a girlfriend. The other 3 are 20,23 and 25.

No and no. I was 30 when I had my oldest. My girls are almost 22 and 19. Hope I am not a grandma for at least 5 years.

I was 18 when my daughter was born, and just finishing up high school.  She's almost 15.  We are doing all we can to get her through the next few years pregnancy free.  It's not looking good so far.  Although, I have prepared her for what she needs to do when and if she decides to become sexually active.  She knows she can talk to me - she know that I feel she should wait until she is out of high school, but if she chooses not to, it's her body and her choice, and it's up to her to stay safe.  We will give her the information, and I will even put her on the pill, if that's what it takes.

I was married at 18, and had my first at 19, second at 20 so on and so forth. There are 8, the oldest is 21 and the youngest is three. So far the older 4 are all over 19, and have not followed in my footsteps. I have made it clear that they should wait till they are married, out of school and supporting themselves. The listened, just cause I did it, and know how hard it is, doesn't mean they should or that it was the right thing to do.

Not me.  I was in my 20's when mine were born.    My sons are 23 and 19.....no kids, yet.

Interesting tidbit..... I am the youngest of 7 children and none of us were teen parents, nor were any of our children (so far).  What are the chances of that?
