So Me & My Son Recently Had A Fight He Said I'm Going To Kill Myself Watch. During That Fight He Said It Twice. This Was Not The First Time.

About Two Weeks Ago We Were In Walmart An He Was Trying To Decide On A Face Wash. He Couldn't Make Up His Mind So He Got Mad Threw Them Down An SAid This Is Stupid I Don't Even Want To Change My Face Wash. He Then Walked Away An Said I Just Want To Commit Suicide.

I Then Called A Behavioral Health Center. He Has An Appointment Today. I Feel An Was Also Told By My Teenage Daughter When A Teen Talks Of Suicide You Don't Take That Lightly. He Is So Mad At Me, Saying This Is Stupid An He Can't Believe I Got Him Into This. I Just Told Him That's One Of The Problems Your Always Blaming Me You Need To Take Some Responsibility. I Don't Know What To Do Now I Don't Want Him Hating Me More.

I'm glad you called and took the threats seriously.  Whether he meant them that way or not, he needs to understand that this is not something to take, or say, lightly and that threats will not get him what he wants.

You did PRECISELY the right thing by calling the behavioral health center. At the moment, let the blame game roll off your back. Don't let "I hate you" or "it's your fault" sway you ion any way. The Mom Gig is not about being liked. It's about doing the right things for your kids. And when a teenager mentions suicide, seeing a specialist is the right thing.

First why does every word start with a capital? It's really hard to read.

Second, you did what you had to do, maybe he'll think twice before speaking.

Because that is the way my phone typed it and I couldn't figure out how to change it. Thank you.

Therapy is wonderful for teens, let's them feel heard if they feel no one understands them or being told what to do, even the smallest thing a parent says sometimes is so big to them, its a wonderful thing you did by going to therapy, hope this continues to improve your relationship. My middle son requires therapy for his issues. and after a dark time he is doing so well.
