My baby isn't a baby any more :(

Yesterday my 11 year old called me to the bathroom and yep, she is not a baby any more.  Man do I feel OLD!!!! You know the time is coming, but you look into those big blue eyes and can't see the young lady she is, you only see the baby you gave birth to. You only see the little girl that still hugs and kisses you and tells you that she will never grow up and she will always be your baby.  The little girl that still needs so much help, but yet on her way to womanhood. When she called me in and told me, I said in return, "Welcome to womanhood" and she cried. (she is extremely sensative and really is not ready for this).  I am the one that should be crying, not her.  Another milestone in life's journey.  (she would be so embarassed that I posted this, good thing she doesn't read anything on these boards. )

Welcome to a brand new world.  She is every bit the girl she was two days ago.  It is a big milestone, and certainly worth recognizing.

Time does fly by too quickly.

Congrats to your daughter.

My daughter is 10, and a couple girls in her class have recently gotten their periods.  I talk to her about it all the time, but secretly I'm hoping she doesn't get it for a couple more years.  Where does the time go??

Both of mine became women this year.  Both in January.  Totally destroyed my cycle!
