This weekend I was SO PROUD of my DD. She participated in a 30 famine to help raise awareness of world hunger and homelessness. It was done as a project at our church with our youth groups. For 30 hours, about 25 kids and our pastor had nothing to eat except water, sleep in cardboard boxes outside and stood on a street corner to try and raise money to help feed those that are in the greatest need. This small group raised over $1500 in our little town of 1800 people. My heart is busting with pride for all of these kids and also hats of to our pastor for doing with him. It is amazing what kids can do when they set there minds to it.

Wonderful Post momma. You should be proud. That is one valuable lesson those children were taught.

Awesome!!
I have done that several times when I was a teen, but we slept at the church. Also we could drink juices because we did it for 50 hours. Just water would be a little too unhealthy.
