Who taught YOU to drive?

Most of our teens are driving or learning to drive, so I thought it would be fun to talk about when WE learned how to drive.

How old were you when you learned to drive? Who taught you? Can you drive both automatic and manual transmissions?

I was 15 and my older cousin taught me in his truck. It was a manual transmission.
After that I only used an automatic. I CAN drive a manual but Im not comfortable with it enough to drive unless absolutely necessary.

I was 13/14 when my grandma first started taking me out, then around 15 I took drivers ed in school. That's pretty much how I learned.

Drivers Ed and my Mom.  My Dad yelled to much and made me to nervous.  I can drive both auto or standard transmission.  My late husband taught me to drive standard.

I was 15 and learned from my dad. It was a HORRIBLE experience! Lol. He had NO faith in me and I felt and heard it in his voice... Yelling at times.
Luckily, my husband is MUCH more mellow, so I expect my boys to have a much more pleasant experience!!!
