A lot of our teens are getting first jobs for the summer.

Do you remember your first job?

How old were you when you got your first job?

Summer between jr and sr year of hs. I was a secretary at a place my Dad used to work. A warehouse for a trucking company. Got paid minimum which was something like $2.05 an hour. I was in heaven. 40 hours a week.

I worked at a sandwich shop/ice cream palor.  Loved that job.  Made minimum wage at $3.15 and hour.  I was 15 when I started.

When I could drive, I worked at a clothing consignment shop.  I don't remember how much I got paid.

1 mom liked this

I worked in an Ice Cream Shop at age 14.   I was just filling in for an employee on leave, it was 6 weeks in the summer.   Fun!
