I let her dye her hair turquoise!

Posted by   + Show Post

So I have a deal with my YDD who is 13.  She pulls all A's for the school year she gets to dye her hair whatever color she wants over the Summer.  Because of the school dress code she has to go back to a natural color when school starts back.  Well, her final report card was all A's and she got a 96 average for the year so, yep it's turquoise lol.  Last year it was magenta.  I will probably get a little flack from certain family members but all I ever tell them is that she earned it.

I don't like it, but then again I would never let my teen dye their hair.

Congrats on the grades, that's awesome! We don't do any colors here for my kids but "human" lol that's always been our rule, but so happy she had a great year! :)

I think that just for the summer is a PERFECT arrangement.  Good compromise

Temporary? The permanent is a bear to get out.  My daughter did this a couple of times.

I didn't love it, by any means.

It is semi-permanent.  It gradually washes out but we will probaby have to dye it a more normal color by the time school starts back in late August.  I didn't care for the brand of color we used last year.  It stained everything it touched.  We used a different brand this year and it was much better.
