How old were you when you learned to swim? How old were your children when they learned to swim?
I was under 6, but I don't remember my exact age.
My son took swimming lessons when he was 4, almost 5.
I was 2 when I learned to swim through the YMCA.
My kids all learn to at lest float by 3/4, swimming comes around 5/6.
I was about 5. My kids all learned about that age too.
About 5 or 6, I think.
My kids are still learning. I really have to get ds1 in lessons again; he can't advance any more in Boy Scouts until he can pass that BSA swim test.
I was around 6-7 when I learned to swim, with my daughters I started a littl earlier and they were taking lessons when they were 4 and 5.
I taught swimming lessons in Socal when my Ds was an infant and I was in nursing school. He was 'pool safe" at 6 months and swimming completely on his own at 18 months. We didn't have a pool with my DD so she was about 3. I learned in pre school some time.
I was 4 when I had my first lessons. My dd was 8, my oldest son was 6 and my youngest son was 6, I think, when they started lessons.
I was 6. My sons both started swimming lessons at the age of 3.
