My kids have never been into any organized sports, so I'm not sure.

I told my son he could play football if he showed me he would be safe, he broke his ankle while proving how safe it was so he never played on a team.

I am not to keen on the idea of my boys wanting to play football but with my husband around I would get over ruled, lol.

Football... can't stand the culture of football.  It is also so achingly slow to watch...   My son plays rugby.... much, much safer and awesome culture.

My husband has said no to tackle football because our son already plays a contact sport. If he gave up hockey, we would probably allow football.

No. Bri does soccer, competitive cheer and volleyball; Lexi plays soccer, volleyball and softball and is doing competitive cheer this season; and Teddy lives and breathes football and also plays basketball and baseball. He's mentioned going out for wrestling next quarter, so we'll see. The biggest issue in this house is with my DH who can't stand the fact that his sons take gymnastics. But that has nothing to do with risk of injury, it's his preconceived notion that boys don't take gymnastics. Yet the same guy had no issues a few years ago when Lexi played a season of football in fifth grade.
